Bottlenotes — Bottlenotes Mobile is a new iTunes-iPhone application that allows users to look up descriptions and ratings for thousands of wines and keep track of their favorite labels. Bottlenotes Mobile is an “on-the-go” way to learn about intriguing wines, discover wine regions and travel destinations, and get up-close-and-personal with industry newsmakers or profiles of winemaking icons.
Bottlenotes founders Alyssa Rapp and Kim Donaldson are used to being asked for advice from their wine loving friends. “Bottlenotes Mobile helps to increase your wine knowledge,” the founders said. “It allows you to enter your ‘What are you tasting now?’ status, save and search tasting notes with ratings and photos of the labels so you can remember the wines and where you had them.” Users can search the Bottlenotes Mobile database by wine name, producer, varietal, region, tasting tags, or rating.
Other main features allow users to:
• Update their “What are you tasting now?” status on The Daily Sip™, and share with friends via Twitter, Facebook or email
• Create Quick Notes to remember their favorite wines (like building your own wine library)
• Take a photo of a wine they are drinking, or choose a label from the Bottlenotes database
• Record where they tasted each wine thanks to SimpleGeo integration
• Browse their notes with the My Notes feature
• Read the last five editions of The Daily Sip™ and share with friends
• See which wines their Friends are drinking and search thousands of tasting notes
