What does technology have to do with personal growth and metaphysics?

Everything–if you’re Isobel Shih, founder of Insight Salon, a cyber-boutique that provides the services of gold-standard astrologers and intuitives, who have been featured in magazines including Vogue, Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar. isobel-headshot

“Technology is a critical component of our business,” says Isobel, a passionate mystic and Dartmouth MBA. Not only do clients schedule appointments with Insight Advisors online, but a web application also connects the client to the Insight Advisor by phone at the scheduled time—and records the session if the client chooses.

“I provide so much information in a session,” explains Insight Advisor Lizzie Falconer. “It’s quite a lot to process in one sitting! That’s why our clients love the MP3 and WAV recordings of their sessions. It allows them to listen to all the insights again on their iPods, while they’re at the gym or on their way to work.”

But technology is the last thing you think about when you visit the site. Insight Salon’s sophisticated and soothing home page feels like a spa, bringing a new meaning to “personal grooming.” Sessions with Insight Advisors Lizzie Falconer and Leigh Oswald are available now at www.insightsalon.com; session prices range from $95 to $225.

Insight Salon is a gift for those looking for assurance that they are engaging with high caliber professionals. Isobel Shih has gathered some of the best in their respective disciplines and, thanks to technology, has made those services available to clients in the comfort of their homes. I thoroughly enjoyed curling up in a cozy spot and spending two hours with Leigh Oswald. Having a recording of our session to refer back to later further extended the pleasure of our time together. Kudos to Ms. Shih for this innovative approach of bringing knowledge seekers and international professionals together. The benefit to clients is a trusted source for outstanding practitioners and easy access. My experience with Insight Salon was well worth the cost!
